. 1978 Nov 29 - Photo Mr & Mrs Orwell Johnston look over one of the early financial statements of the Brick Church, properly called Siloam church. This small Methodist church existed at the corners of Highway 25 & Town Boundary Line from 1862 TO 1919. Article on the history of the Brick church.

Elsie Wiggins wife of the late Orwell Johnston, formerly of Acton, aged 90 year.
Survived by brothers Andrew of Toronto, Burton of Port Colborne, sisters Jean Press & Vivian Troy, both of Hamilton.
Funeral service was held at the Shoemaker Funeral Home Acton, on Friday, Apr 8, 1988 at 1:30 p.m. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Acton.
