The Goodmurphy Homestead (the east half of Lot 96, amounting to 100 acres) was sold by John C. Goodmurphy to his son Gilbert Goodmurphy, on March 15, 1871, for an amount of $3000.00.
Gilbert Goodmurphy prepared his Last Will and Testament on August 14, 1916. At that time, he and his wife Sephronia were living at Village Lot #48, at the corner of Wellington and Church Streets in the Village of Consecon.
Gilbert bequeathed the farm on Lot 96 to his son Lewis Elgin.
Also he bequeathed ten (10) acres of swamp land in the south part of the west half of Lot 86 in the 4th Concession Ameliasburg Twp.
Gilbert bequeathed the farm being parts of lots numbers 97 and 98, amounting to 84
acres, to his daughters Mary Ann and Rosanne.
This property was held by Francis Goodmurphy, the youngest son of Captain John Good Murphy.
It is presumed that this property was sold to Gilbert sometime earlier. Francis died in 1896, and his only son John Davis died in 1902.
Sephronia was remarried to: Frederick Stanley Weeks, who was widowed from his marriage to Roxie Almeda Carnrike, on December 3,1919.
Roxie Almeda Carnrike was the daughter of Deborah Ann Goodmurphy (Gilbert's older sister) and Selim Carnrike.

Sephronia (daughter of Charles Wesley NIX and Charlotte LATOUR) was born on 10 Jan 1856 in Consecon, Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada; died in 1933 in Consecon, Ameliasburgh Twp, Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada.
