    Jehu is the son of Levina Ann Black & Daniel Mosher. Ezekiel was a blacksmith, said to be a superior, horseshoer & good general workman. they lived in Brockway Cente, St. Clair Co., Michigan.

    Mosher Family, Ezekeil Mosher live in Manchester, England.
    His son Hugh Mosher came in 17th century to Rhode Island with his wife Lydia Mason.
    Jehu had a farm near where his father landed [in Newport] & was quite a businessman & was very strong. It is said of him that he carried an anchor for a wager that weighed 500 pounds, 30 feet on a wharf. It was raised to his shoulder, & he walked the 30 feet. Said he did not breathe while the anchor was on his shoulder, & his feet burst through his thin shoes, which were new. This was all the harm done. He gained the bet & lived until he was 97 years old.

    * Obituary of sister Sarah A Mother, was born in town of Newport, Haults Co., Nova Scotia, Sept 19, 1828. Her parents moved to Toronto, Canada in 1829 where her early girlhood years were spent, the family moving to Houghton Canada in 1846. Was marred Samuel Carson in April 1857. Lived in Canada until 1864 when they mobbed to Brockway, Mich. where she resided at the time of her death. She was the mother of 4 children, 2 sons & 2 daughters,3 of whom, with her husband mourn her loss, the eldest son having crossed the dark river some 4 months previous. She also has 3 brothers & one sister living, Jehu, D A Mosher of Yale ,Michigan, John B Mosher of Toronto, Canada & Mrs Eliza Monroe of Eaton Rapids, Michigan.
    Deceased became member of the Church of Christ shortly after coming to Michigan & was an earnest, faithful christian the remainder of her life. Whole those that are left sorely miss the loving smile, the kind world & the lovely presence from among them they may mourn, not as those who have no hope , but thank god tay through the abundance of His grace they may look forward to a reunion in that city where sorrow & weeping are no more.
