    Lawrence Barrett "Barrie" Olinger of Lancaster, California died on Feb. 21, 2010 at the home of his daughter Dayna after a long battle with cancer.
    Barrie called the San Fernando Valley his home for more than 50 years before moving to Lancaster, Ca to be closer to his family. After graduating from San Fernando Valley High School in 1950, Barrie married his high school sweetheart, Yvonne (Bonnie) Simonds & joined the US Army.
    Barrie & Bonnie raised their four children in the Chatsworth area of Southern California. As a devoted 4-H dad, the family kept busy with many family 4-H activities across the Los Angeles area. His interests included cars, landscaping, radio, television & movie history & trivia. Left to cherish his memory & book collection are his children: Carole, Dayna (Dave), Brian & Tracy: and his grandchildren Jarod and Meghan.  - - -

    Thomas M Olinger, 80, former Holland resident, died Thursday Nov 10, at De Land, FL., where he had gone for the winter. His home address was 157 Campbell Pl. NE, Grand Rapids.
    Mr Olinger, former owner of the Federal Mfg. Co. of Holland which later changed to Hart and Cooley Mfg. Co., was born in California. He lived in Holland for many years & retired in 1936 when he moved to Grand Rapids. Before his connection with the Federal plant he manufactured veterinary supplies.
    Surviving are the wife, Elizabeth; 3 daughters,

    Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Metcalf Funeral Chapel, 933 Cherry St., Grand Rapids with Dr. Carl E. Martenson of Park Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in Grand Rapids.

The wedding was quietly celebrated onFri. Sep 18, at the home of james Hamilton in GrandRapids. The young couple left immediately for Lansing where they will go to housekeeping. For several years the bride has been a student of music at Grand Rapids & has won recognition as a musician. She has many fiends here. Mr. Olinger, too is quite well known here he having been at one time an employee of the West Michigan nurseries.

    . 1938 Apr 21 - Funeral services for Mrs. Myra Grow, 82, Virginia Park resident, who died Wednesday at 7 o'clock in Grand Rapids, were held Friday in Benton Harbor she was a member of the Maccabees lodge whose members are expected to attend the services. Mrs. Grow is reported to have died of heart trouble. Burial Morton Hill cemetery.
