    BIOGRAPHY: NOT VERIFIED--Richard's brothers were John Baptiste(?), Edward(?), and Joseph Rocheleau. Richard lived in 1869-1873 on tract of lot 238 Mersea Twsp.
    He moved to Mersea Twsp. as a young boy.A member of Veterans Assoc.(Fenian Raids)
    Obituary: "LEAMINGTON - 1 Sept 1905: "RUSSELO In Leamington, Sunday, August 20th, Richard Russelo, aged 70 years."
    The sudden death occurred on Sunday, August 20th, of Richard Russelo, one of the town's oldest citizens. He had been in poor health for several months, but on Sunday he was no worse than usual and was up and about during the day seemingly as well as ever. Mr. Russelo was born at Sandwich 70 years ago. He removed to Mersea township when quite young and the whole of his life was spent in Leamington and Mersea. He leaves a widow, who was formerly Margaret Wiper, to whom he had been looking forward to their golden wedding celebration which would have been held next February. He also leaves seven sons, Thomas, of Blenheim; Charles, of Detroit; Robert, Lemuel, Arthur, Howard and Dennis, of Leamington. Two Daughters also survive,Minnie, Mrs. Manchester, of Essex, and Millie, Mrs. Setterington, of Hillman. The funeral was held on Tuesday. Mr. Russelo was a member of the Veteran's Association, having seen service during the Fenian trouble at Sandwich. The members of the association attended the funeral."

    Thursday, July 19, 1923: " OBITUARY - Mrs. Margaret RUSSELO - A member of one of the pioneer families of the community in the person of Mrs. Margaret Russelo, relict of the late Richard Russelo, passed away last Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Colin Setterington, of Hillman. She was in her 86th year and she virtually slept away owing to her advanced age. Her husband predeceased her 18 years ago. She was the mother of 6 children, 44 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Surviving are five sons, Thomas, of Blenheim; Lemuel, Amherstburg; Robert, Howard and Dennis of Leamington; and one daughter, Mrs. Colin Setterington, of Hillman. A brother Mr. Henry Wiper, Leamington, is also a survivor. The funeral service was conducted at the home of Mrs. Setterington, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 with interment at Lakeview Cemetery."
