Charles married Marie Jane MCVICKER on 22 Jun 1931 in Holy Name of Mary R.C. Church, Marysville, Ontario. Marie (daughter of Patrick MCVICKER and Sarah Jane FARRELL) was born on 7 Sep 1904 in Lonsdale, Tyendinaga Twp, Hastings County, Ontario; died on 25 Sep 1996 in Montreal, Quebec. Marie was born in Lonsdale and her baptismal sponsors were Michael and Elizabeth Marrigan.

Marie Anne (retired teacher) died at St Mary’s Hospital in Montreal on Wednesday, September 25, 196 in her 93rd year. She rested at the Burke Funeral Home in Belleville. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at Holy Name of Mary Church in Marysville, Ontario on Friday, September 27, 1996. She was later buried at Holy Name of Mary Cemetery in Marysville, Ontario.

Charles and Marie bought the old Paddy Doyle Hotel on Lot 9 in Lonsdale.
It was here that Marie's father died in 1946.

John married Mary Ann MCLAUGHLIN. Mary (daughter of Charles MCLAUGHLIN and Bridget LEE) was born on 1 Jan 1859 in Erinsville, Ontario, Canada; died on 1 Jan 1952. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

In 1903 Patrick bought Lot 10 in Lonsdale from Albert (Ab) Bruein, who then moved to Belleville.
Patrick and Sarah and family lived at Lot 10 until 1925.
At first, Patrick was a "commercial traveller" whose work covered Eastern Ontario.
About 1916 he started a grocery store in Lonsdale. In 1925 they bought the Paddy Doyle house across from the McHenry home in Lonsdale. This was Lot 27 at the corner of Main and Princess St.
Paddy Doyle, the son of Owen Doyle and Margaret Shaughnessy, was the proprietor of the hotel on Lot 9, the corner of Rock and Princess Street.
Paddy (referred to as Big Paddy Doyle) bought this house that used to belong to Ben Haight. He rebuilt the home and lived there until his death in 1923.
Sarah Farrell McVicker died at this home in 1936.
Marie McVicker and her husband Charles O'Neill bought the old Paddy Doyle Hotel and it was there that Patrick McVicker died in 1946.

Joseph married , moved to Vancouver, where he died on October 22,1972.
Francis Gerald, the youngest child, never married, and is buried in Marysville.

James married Catherine HINCH on 18 Jan 1850 in Centreville, Camden Twp, Lennox & Addington Twp, Ontario, Canada. Catherine (daughter of Richard HINCH and Mary DOYLE) was born in 1823 in Clonmore Parish, Wicklow, Ireland; died in UNKNOWN. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

According to the Death records, Daniel McVicker was the son of John and Bridget McVicker, and was born in County Antrim, Ireland.
In the Daniel McVicker family there are some memories of his siblings Mary, Thomas and maybe James.
The 1901 Census for Tyendinaga Township, lists Daniel at age 75, having been born on February 2, 1826 and having come to Canada in 1847.
He died March 30, 1920 at age 95 in Deseronto, Ontario. He was buried April 7, 1920 in Marysville, Ontario. According to the records he died of Arterio Sclerosis brought on by a bowel obstruction.
He has been sick for 4 years. His son James is listed as the informant.
Daniel married a Margaret O'Connor, who according to the 1901 Census, was born on January 10, 1829.
Her parents were Patrick O'Connor of County Antrim, Ireland and Mary Wisely of Dublin, Ireland. Margaret died about April 6, 1913 and was buried on April 8, 1913 in Marysville.
Family tradition says that Daniel worked for an Englishman when he first came to Canada.
Perhaps this was in the late 1840's and Daniel was at this time in his 20's. Apparently that was at a mill along Fisher Creek on the first sideroad to the west of the Lonsdale sideroad, Concession 4, S 1/2 Lot 25.
The 1881 Census for Tyendinaga Township, has Daniel and Margaret, and their four youngest children, living in the Millpoint area. Daniel is listed as a farmer, and Patrick is listed as a labourer.
In 1891, they are still in Tyendinaga Township, Daniel is still listed as a farmer, Patrick, age 32, is a general servant, James is age 26, and George is 23.
By 1901, Daniel is 75 and Margaret is 72, and their son Patrick, age 43 is still listed living with them.
In the 39 years between 1860 and 1899 Daniel is listed as living in five different places, always as a freeholder, and all of this was in Tyendinaga Twp.
Their daughter Rose died in infancy.

Daniel married Margaret O'CONNOR about 1846. Margaret (daughter of Patrick O'CONNOR and Mary WISLEY) was born on 10 Jan 1829 in County Antrim, Ireland; died on 19 Jan 1913 in Deseronto, Tyendinaga Twp, Hastings County, Ontario,Canada; was buried on 8 Apr 1913 in Marysville, Tyendinaga Twp, Hastings County, Ontario.
