1914 May 7 - FELL DEAD LEAVING THE CHURCH, Mr. Thomas Weatherston, of Everton, Stricken with Hemmorrhage, SECOND SUDDEN DEATH LATELY
Just a week from the day of the funeral of Mr. Wm. G. Cook, who was found dead in bed at his home near Ospringe, Mr. Thomas Weatherston, of Everton, passed away just as suddenly.
Mr. Weatherston, had gotten into the buggy, after attending the afternoon service in Ospringe Presbyterian Church on Sunday, & without any apparent struggle, he grew limp in the seat & died.
The incident caused much consternation, among those coming from the Church. Deceased had seemed in his usual good health that day & had attended the McLelland inquest at Everton the night before, where he had conversed with many of his friends.
Dr. McCullough, of Rockwood, was soon on the scene, & the body, which had been taken into a nearby house, was removed by a son to the family residence at Everton.
The late Mr. Weatherstone was 71 years of age & though of robust health in a general way, had suffered from heart trouble for some time.
The doctor pronounced death as due to a heart hemorrhage.
The deceased, who was known & highly esteemed in the neighborhood, leaves surviving his 3 sons & 4 daughters. They are John in the West, Thomas & George in Eramosa;
Mrs. McCutcheon, of Everton; Mrs. Hamilton, of Shiloh; Mrs. Blair & Mrs. Dalton, of Dalton, Manitoba.
