. 1915 Jan 15 - Mr Mrs Stillwell Phipps of Welwyn, Sask., are visiting in the vicinity. They have been lying in the west for 15 years & appear to like it well.
The Annual meeting of Holmesville Cheese & Butter Co. was held on Thus. & reports shows everything is good.

. 1942 Jan 25 - There passed away an old Holmesville resident, Stillwell Phipps of Nipawan, Sask. He was ill only a few weeks. His wife, the former Fannie Blackwelll, also of Holmesville, died some 5 years ago. There survive the family of 8 daughters & 2 sons, all of whom visited him during his illness.

. 1921 Oct 21 - Goderich Township, Death of Former Resident
Death claimed a former resident on Huron on Friday last, in the person of Mrs Phipps, relict of the late Stillwell Phipps of this twp., who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Burnet, 381 Symington Ave., Toronto, in her 81st year. For some time Mrs. Phipps had made her home with relatives at Whitby, but recently went on a visit to her daughter in Toronto, passing away after a brief illness. Deceased was for many years a resident of the twp. & was particularly well known in the neighborhood of Holmesville. She was held in the very highest esteem was a zealous & faithful member of the Methodist church.
In addition to her daughter in Toronto, she leaves a dau. Mrs. Frank Swallow in Bowmanville, 3 sons, George until recently a resident of this twp.; James & Stillwell, residents of Manitoba & Sasktachewan respectively.
On learning of her death quite a number of her old Huron friends, now resident in Toronto, paid a last tribute to respect to her memory. Remains being taken to Whitby for interment.
