Thomas and Jane are in the 1851 census for Blenheim Township in Oxford County. At some point later, the name Blenheim changed to Drumbo.Their children listed are William, 5, Sarah, 3 and Malinda, 1. Jane's birthplace is shown as Canada West, and her age as 25. On the same page are listed the family of Samuel (probably Jane's brother) and Abigail Vanevery. The Passmore family are listed in the 1861 census for the same place, with the additional children: John, 7, Thomas Andrew, 5, and twins Martha and Marjory, 3. The 1871 census for the same place lists the family, with the additional children George W., 7, and James, 2. Jane's family origin is shown as German. The 1881 census shows the family again. George W. is listed as Wallace. The 1891 census shows Thomas as a retired farmer living with his wife Jane at the same location.
Further information about this Passmore family comes from "Scrappy", who completed the Find A Grave site http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=PAS&GSpartial=1&GSbyrel=all&GScntry=10&GSsr=401&GRid=28495524&. There is also a photocopy of a document with Thomas Passmore information, including the dates of his emigration on the "Passmore Family Tree" ancestry.com site http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/49561354/person/12997257223/photox/7?pgnum=1&pg=32816&pgpl=pid%7CpgNum
According to a photocopied record on that site, Thomas Passmore migrated from England on 10 April, 1845, and arrived in Quebec on 30 May. These are the same dates as for the voyage to Quebec of his third cousin once removed, Frederick Fortescue Passmore. They probably came on the same ship, although Frederick does not mention Thomas in his letter to his family.
Thomas married Sarah Jane VANEVERY on 11 Nov 1846 in St. George, Canada West. Sarah (daughter of Andrew VANEVERY and Nancy Lucinda VAN SELLAS) was born on 4 Nov 1827 in Dumfries, Canada West; died in 1908 in Gladwyn, Michigan; was buried in Highland Cemetery, Gladwyn, Michigan.
