Henry Gustine says that she was a graduate of Teachers College at Ypsilanti, MI and Valedictorian of the Benton Harbor High School Class of 1891, a class of only 5 graduates. The first class to graduate from the old Central High School on the southeast corner of Pipestone and Church Street.
