William Buy Cameron's claim in the UEL Commission said he was in the 1st Battalion of the KRRNY and had lived in Tryon County before the war. He settled on the lands in 1774. Resides at No 1, New Johnstown. He was whipped by the rebesl while on a scouting mission. Rebel government pardoned him. This information provided by John A Stewart of Michigan.
