      Charles Harris, Private in H.M. 25th Regiment of Foot, (bachelor) and Mary Anne Melmore (sic.) (spinster) both of the city of Montreal, were married after due publication of Banns on 13th day of December 1865, by me T Hill Bartlett, Chaplain to the Forces. This marriage was solemnised by us, Charles Harris and Mary Anne Melmer (both signed) in the presence of Frederick Gardener a Private in the 25th Regiment of Foot, and Sarah Sanford who have herein signed themselves.
