    • NOTE 1./ Matthew Tucker: was born in 1838 in Georgia, the son of Elisha Tucker and Zilpha Williams. On 25 August 1861 when Matthew was 23, he married Martha Hobby, daughter of Jesse Hobby Jr. & Mary Marchant. She was born in 1842. On 1 September 1863 he enlisted as a private in Company F. He was appointed 4th Corporal in April 1864. Matthew was captured at Amelia Court House, Virginia on 5 April 1865. He was released at Point Lookout, Maryland on 21 June 1865.
