1871 census listing for Chingacousy Twp. [film C-9957, Peel District (039), Chingacousy (D) subdistrict, Division 1, page 7]. He is listed as a farmer, age 35, Presbyterian. His wife Mary, age 30, is also listed, but no children. An Anne Henry, age 18 is shown as living with them. The 1881 census for Chingacousy shows William and Mary, ages 44 and 41, living with Mary E. McClure, age 14 and Thomas D. McClure, age 12. The 1891 census for Brampton shows William, age 55 and Mary, age 50, living with Elisa McClure, age 24, a lodger.
