The marriage record shows David's parents as John and Elizabeth.
The 1871 census shows the family in the Caledon sub-district of the Cardwell district. David Wiggins was age 30, a farmer, born in Ontario, Presbyterian, of Irish blood. Also listed were their children, John, 4, James, 2 and David, 4 months.
The 1881 census of Esquesing Twp. in Halton County showed the family, including William Thomas, 7, Samuel C., 3, and Albert W, 1. Also living with them was Robert Wiggins, age 38.
The 1891 census of Chingacousy Twp., Peel County shows th newest child, Robert, age 8, along with all the other children.
The 1901 census shows David and Mary living in the City of Guelph, with their sons James M., 32, Samuel E., 22, Albert W., 21, and Robert A., 18. David and his son James were listed as farmers. Samuel was a dry goods clerk. Albert was a machinist. Robert was a printer.
