    • William Rowell and Penelope Brown had 9 children. Penelope lived with her daughter Susan until her death and her son Edward was her caretaker and provider. Penelope Brown was a very good seamstress. She made suits and coats for her family and it was noted in the Crawford County Court House Records that she made many coats and clothes for the orphans that were in and near Crawford County at the time.
