    • Obituary: Rites Held Wednesday for Mrs. J. Gingrich

      Carsonville, June 6 - Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. from the Pilgrim Holiness church of Applegate for Mrs. Janet Adelia Gingrich, 71, who died Monday after an illness of three weeks. Rev. Orville Smith, pastor of the church, officiated, assisted by Rev. Ellis Fenton, of Carsonville Methodist church. Burial was made in Washington cemetery.

      Mrs. Gingrich was born Sept. 9th, 1873 in Clinton, Ont., & had been a resident of Carsonville since 1940. She had been a member of the Pilgrim Holiness church for over 20 years.

      She is survived by six brothers, Albert Phipps, Herbert Phipps, Allan Phipps, Harvey Phipps, & William Phipps, all of Carsonville; Oliver Phipps, Applegate; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Gingrich, Mrs. Margaret Hawes, Applegate; & Mrs. Maud Miller, Detroit.
