  Obituary DOWAGIAC- Dorothy C. Hunziker, 98, of Magician Lake, longtime co-owner of Hunziker's Nursery in Niles, died at 4:35 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 9, 2002) at the Cass County Medical Care Facility in Cassopolis. She was born May 28, 1903, in Chicago to James & Eva Mae (Aldrich) Cummings. She married Alex H. Hunziker in 1926, in Angola. He died Nov. 20, 1973. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Craig (Mary A.) McCoy of Dowagiac; two sons, Jerry A. (Pamela) Hunziker of Niles & James M. Hunziker of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; 5 grandchildren; & 6 great-grandchildren. Friends may call after the funeral service, which will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Episcopal Church in Niles. The Rev. Frank Schuster will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger. Mrs. Hunziker moved to Magician Lake in 1914 where she spent summers until 1998. But spent most of her life in Niles. She was a homemaker but also co-owned the nursery. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church & a life member of Beta Gamma Epsilon sorority. Memorials may be given to the Cass County Medical Care Facility.
