. 1903 Oct 30 - Will Hold Inquest, Coroner Hilliker to Look into Death of Mrs Webb.
Coroner Hilliker has deemed at autopsy necessary as the result of the peculiarities incident to the death of Mrs. Mary Webb at her home, 203 South division last evening. The woman died suffering intense agony & frothing at the mouth. There were other symptoms of poisoning & the coroner decided that an investigation should be made. Coroner Hilliker scouts the theory of suicide & believed death was due to a disease of the heart. Coroners Hilliker & LeRoy will hold a post mortem examination this afternoon & establish beyond question the cause of the woman's death. The appearance of the Webb household would indicate that the father had difficulty in making both ends meet & that he is a sober & industrious man. Webb knows of no reason why his wife should commit suicide & is heartbroken because of her sudden decease. There are 2 children surviving.
