  . Robert Boggs Blauvelt, b Feb 13, 1832, died Feb 2, 1911, Mr. Blauvelt volunteered early in the Civil War serving with the 7th Reg. NGNY., & later with another New York regiment. He was also employed as a clerk in the War Office at Washington for many years he was an insurance broker in New York City. He resided at New Brunswick, N. J., a man highly respected in the community, of who it was said: "He walked uprightly, worked righteousness, & spoke the truth in his heart."
