. 1931 Jul 30 - Mrs Robt Johnston has at present four blooms of an Easter lilies in her garden which are quite an attraction, having been left in the ground since last season, & going through last winter without any harm.
. 1944 Aug 17, Rockwood, Mrs Robert Johnston is laid up with her left in a cast. Her many fiends hope for a speedy recovery.

Acation, Norwich &Toronto, Beside her husband 4 children, 1 brother, 2 sisters mourn her loss; They are Miss Lynn Hamlin, RN go Greenwood, BC; Dr Howard Hamlin, Ottawa, & Al & Lorne of Toronto; 1 brother A R Ramshaw, Oakwood California & sisters, Mrs R L Johnston, Acton, Mrs Robt Johnston, Rockwood, Member of the United Church. Obituary, Many Mourners, Floral Tributes
. 1955 Jan 12 - Funeral service was held at the Rumley funeral Home in Acton last Friday for the late Mrs Helena Maude Johnston of Rockwood who passed away in Guelph General Hospital on Jan 12th. About 30 floral tributes attested to the esteem in which she was held & many friends & relatives attended the funeral from Toronto, Ottawa, Palmerston, Listowel, Fonthill, Waterloo, Georgetown & Milton as well as Rockwell.
Mrs. Johnston had been ill for about 4 weeks. Rev J A Dilts officiated at the service followed by interment in Rockwood cemetery. Pallbearers were Jesse Gordier, Alvin Root, Geo Harwood, Elmer McCannell & Russell Osborne of Rockwood & Orwell Johnston of Acton. The honorary pallbearers were H Hosking, Wm Pasmore, Henry Maude & J D McNabb of Rockwood.
Flower bears were Roy Johnston & Clarence Gamble of Acton, Albert Maltby, Jack McLean, Geo Day, Lloyd Marsden, Geo Wingate, Lloyd Thomas, Albert Shultis & Earl Osborne of Rockwood.
Mrs. Johnston was born in Kincardine, the daughter of Maria Anderson & Wm Ramshaw. She married Robert E Johnston who survives her in 1904 in Rockwood. She moved from Acton to Rockwood 45 years ago. [1910]
Surviving as well as her husband are 3 children:
Lloyd,Ethel (Mrs. D D Gray) & Edgar all of Rockwood,
grandchildren Robert, Isobel & Kenneth Johnston
& a sister Mrs R L Johnston (Virena) Acton. A brother, Robinson Ramshaw & a sister Mabel predeceased her.
