- [S1911] MRS. W. C. HOUSTON PASSES AT HER HOME IN LUCILE, OBIT.
Mrs. Sarah McMullen Houston, 86, widow of the late William Cason Houston, died at her home in Lucile the past Saturday, following an iiIless extending over a period of 21 months. Mrs.Houston was a native of Miller County, where she was born Dec. 19, 1867, andwas a daughter of Clayton and Ellen McMullen. She had
resided in Early County for the past fifty years. She was greatly loved by many friends and relatives who had known her throughout the years. She was a member of the White PlainFree Will Baptist Church, where her funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with the Rev. Roy Roberts officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery, with Minter Funeral Home in charge and Edd Easom, Crozier Batchelor, Jack Haynes, Charlie E. Houston, Martin Murkerson and Joe Brown McMullen serving as pallbearers.
Surviving Mrs. Houston are four sons, W.W. Houston, Gordon Houston, G.W. Houston, and Hoke Houston, who have the sympathy of friendsin their loss.
