      BLAKELY, Ga. - The funeral service of Dr. Rafe Ashley Houston, 58, who died of a heart attack Saturday will be conducted todayat 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the city cemetery. A native of Early County he had been a veterinarian in Blakely for the past 34 years. He was a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Southwest Veterinary Medical Association and past president of the Georgia Veterinary Association. A director of Blakely - Early County Chamber of Commerce, he was a member of the Rotary Club, the Masons and Shriners.
      Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Louise Bledsoe Houston, Blakely; two sons, Ben Houston, Memphis, Tenn., and Woody Houston, Blakely; a daughter, Mrs. Edward Richardson, Montgomery Ala.; a brother, Collie D. Houston, Colquitt; three sisters, Mrs. J.L. Brunson, Albany, Mrs. Keller Godfrey; Colquitt, Mrs. Sibley Pyle, Cedar Springs and a grandchild. Manry-Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
