  . Obituary 1972 Jun23 Fri. - Mary Alice Jones LYONS - Mary Alice Jones, 85, died Thursday at Pioneer Manor after a short illness. Born April 2, 1887, at La Crosse, she was an employe & became part owner of the Lyons Daily News. She moved to Lyons in 1920. She was a member of the PEO, the Rice County Historical Society & the Lyons Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a brother: Horace, Lyons. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Crawford - Miller Mortuary. Burial will be in the Lyons Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Rice County Historical Society. Ref.
