- . 1836 Jul 2 - Mr Mrs Robert E Johnston, Rockwood, Ontario, announce the engagement of their only daughter, Maria Ethylene, to Mr. David Donald Gray, son of Mrs. Gray & the late James Gray, of Rockwood, the marriage to take place in the middle of July.

. 1936 July 16th - Marriage Gray - Johnston, Rockwood, Ontary, July 16th. the marriage took place in the home of Robert E Johnston, Rockwood, yesterday of Maria Ethylene, dau. of Mr Mrs. Robert E Johnston, to David Donald Gray, son of Mrs. James Gray, Rockwood.
Rev. W J Taylor officiated. The house was decorated with summer flowers & the wedding music was played by Miss Mabel Atkinson, Milton. During the signing too the register Miss Eda Anderson sang. The bride was given in marriage by her father & she wore go of white satin, princess line, high neckline, bell sleeves. Her veil was of net & was incapable shape, caught with orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of Braircliff roses. The couple was unattended. A buffet luncheon was served to about 35 guests, after which the couple left on their wedding trip. They are sailing Saturday on the Duchess of Atholl from Montreal. The bride donned for traveling a blue printed silk ensemble. They will reside at Rockwood.

Obituary
Gray, Ethel, At the intensive Care Unit of Henderson General Hospital, Hamilton on Fri. Jan 5, 1979. Ethel Johnson, beloved wife of David D Gray of Rockwood. Dear sister of Lloyd & Edgar Johnston, both of Rockwood. Also survived by nieces & nephews. Service at Guelph was held Monday. Interment Rockwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation to your own church or a charity would be appreciated.
