William Lenard Porter - 50
Of Lakeland passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 at his residence after a sudden illness. He was born on October 26, 1968 in Hamilton Ontario, Canada to the late Donald & Helen (Tower) Porter. William was the facilities manager at JLL Concentrix Valdosta location. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being outdoors. He was a member of the Everglades Bass Masters and Georgia Boys Fishing Clubs. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Colleen Hodges, brother, Donald Porter, Jr. and sister, Rita Porter.
Survivors Include: Wife of 24 years, Shelly Porter of Lakeland, GA; Daughter, Tori Porter of Valdosta, GA; Daughter, Shaelyn Porter of San Diego, CA; Son, Dakota Porter of Cedar City, UT; Sister, Laverne Dow of Hamilton Ontario, Canada; Sister, Donna Ross of Sudbury Ontario, Canada; Sister, Audrey and Dan Morelli of Hamilton Ontario, Canada; Brother, Arthur Porter of Hamilton Ontario, Canada; And a number of nieces, nephews & other family members.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2019 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services of Lakeland. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Operation Bass Warrior. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com. The Porter family is being cared for by the professional and caring staff of Music Funeral Services, Valdosta.
