      James Silver, Watervleit, Jams W Silver,67 S. Pleasant St., Watervliet, died Wed. in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital.

      He was born Feb 1, 1905, Watervliet, s/o John & Lucinda Seel Silver.

      Mr Silver had been employed by the Detroit Police Dept. 25 years, retiring in 1952. He was a member of the Retired Police Ass. of Detroit & the Watervleit Coloma Rod & Gun Club.

      Surviving are 3 sisters, Miss Agnes Silver, Mrs Margaret Pillinger, both of Watervliet & Mrs. William (Winifred) Fain of Troy, Mich.

      Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sat. in the Hutchins Funeral Home. Elder Donald Gettys of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Hartford will officiate.
      Burial will be in Waterrvleit cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon on Friday. The family has suggested memorials be made to the Heart Fund.
