    • Isaac's son Peter Alyea was in the King's Orange Rangers by Dec 1776. His son Joseph joined in 1777.
      A document by William Byard (whose son commanded the King's Orange Rangers stated "the bearer Isaac Alyea formerky an inhabitant of Warwick in the County of Orange, hath one son
      in his Majesty's Service and lost one son in the Service, and by that means hath been compelled to leave his own home after being imprisoned and fly to this City for protection"
