Notes - WARDEN, Kenneth George - Passed away peacefully at home on February 7, 2 009 at the age of 82. Beloved husband for 61 years to Violet (Hethering ton). Loving father of Larry (Rosemary), Diane Smith (Hugh) and Randy ( Nora). Proud grandfather of Aynsley, Brad (Kristy), Lesley (Mark), Lind say and Blaine (Tawnya). Special "Grandpa" to Ayrah. Ken was the son of t he late George and Edith Warden. Dear brother of the late Jack (Maude), E velyn (Sidney), Jean (Walt), Hazel (Lloyd), Gordon, Fred and Irene and s urvived by Joyce (Ray), Betty and sister-in-law Ditty. Lovingly missed b y numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and their famil ies. Ken appreciated and loved Roger (Anne) and was considered "Bulldoz er Grandpa" to Aaron (Sara), Michael (Khiera), Heidi, Ava and Owen Bell . Ken was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, where he joined the Fal ls View Hose Brigade as a volunteer and was a devoted member of Grace G ospel Church. In April 1946 Ken purchased his first truck and establish ed a career and founded Ken Warden Construction Ltd., which for the las t 62 years has become well known around the Niagara Region for its flee t of clean, signature red, trucks and excavating equipment.
The family will receive friends at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN F UNERAL HOMES, 5917 Main Street, on Thursday, February 12, 2009 from 2-4 a nd 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Grace Gospel Church, 58 55 Valley Way, on Friday, February 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment wil l follow at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Grac e Gospel Church Memorial Fund, the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or a ch arity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
