Molly Jane Olinger Ranney Zibell
Former Richmond resident Mollie Jane Ranney Zibell, 83, of South Haven, Mich., died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at South Haven Community Hospital.
Born June 10, 1920, in Holland, Mich., to Thomas & Elizabeth Grow Olinger, she was a former model and artist.
Survivors include daughter, Nancy Mulick; son, George Ranney Jr.
Her husbands, George Ranney Sr. & Blair Zibell, are deceased.
Service: 2:30 p.m. today at River Ridge Retirement Village, South Haven.
Filbrandt Family Funeral Home, 1076 S. Bailey Ave., South Haven, is handling arrangements.
Memorials may be made to River Ridge Activity Fund, 706 Kentucky Ave., South Haven, MI 49090.

SOUTH HAVEN -- Mollie Jane Ranney Zibell, 83, of South Haven died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at South Haven Community Hospital. She was born June 10, 1920, in Holland, Mich., to Thomas and Elizabeth (Grow) Olinger.
Mollie married George Frederick Ranney on June 6, 1940, in Grand Rapids. She raised her children & also did some modeling. Fashion and looking good were always important to Mollie. She was also an artist known for her portraits in water colors, pastels, pen & ink. She was very happy living at the River Ridge Retirement Village & considered the residents & staff a part of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, George F. Ranney Sr., who died in 1981;
Her second husband, Blair Zibell, who died in 1987; three children -- an infant daughter, Patricia, and sons, Thomas and Robert Ranney;
two brothers, Lawrence & Theodore Olinger;
two sisters, Betty Smith & Lorraine Brown.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Mulick of South Haven;
and a son, George Ranney Jr. of Agura, Calif.;
five grandchildren, Edward Allen (Vickie) Mulick, Carrie (Nick) Kovach, Stephanie Mulick, Matthew Ranney and Mark Ranney; four great-grandchildren, Marissa, Paige, Kelsey and Trevor.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at River ridge Retirement Village with the Rev. Harold F. Filbrandt officiating. Burial will be in Otisco Township Cemetery, near Belding, Mich. Memorial contributions may be made to River Ridge Activity Fund, 706 Kentucky Ave., South Haven, Mich. 49090. The family is being helped by Filbrandt Family Funeral Home, South Haven.
