Notes - Robert McCutcheon (senior) was the first one born at the new homestead in Rosemont, ON. on the 8th July 1825 & he died on the 18th December 1881 in Shelburne, ON.
He married Abigail Hughes (1836-1874) on the 24th February 1852 in the town of Arthur, ON. Abigail was the daughter of William Hughes & Abigail Patterson & the sister of Mary Ann Hughes. Abigail was born in Girvin, Scotland. Robert's brother James married Mary Ann Hughes.
Robert died of typhoid fever & was buried at the Shelburne Cemetery.
