    • Obituary:
      Great Falls - Mary Handel, 76, of Great Falls, passed away March 29, 2016 at her home, of natural causes. Cremation has taken place under the care of Croxford Funeral Home. Per her wishes, no services will be held.
      Born in Dillon, Montana on August 25,1939 to Elsy Indermuhle & Lawrence P. Redmond Sr, Mary grew up on the Sunny Slope Ranch in Big Hole Valley, Wisdom, MT. Her father was an all-around cowboy, & in 1942 was crowned World's Number 1 Cowboy at Madison Square Gardens. She graduated from Billings Senior High in 1957 & married LeRoy Handel in Jamestown, ND the same year. Although this union ended in divorce in 1999, they were blessed with 3 children.

      Mary worked at the First National Bank, J.C. Penney's in the office, Great Falls Tribune in the Finance Office then became the Credit Manager in the Collections Department, and finally working at Credit Associates until her retirement. She enjoyed riding horses, liked to travel & loved spending time with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Mary is survived by her former husband, LeRoy Handel;
      daughter, Diana (Matt) Laughlin of Great Falls;
      sons, William Handel of Great Falls & David Handel of Kodiak, AK; brother, Lawrence P. Redmond Jr; 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, & best friend, Diana Fredlund.

      Those who have preceded her in death include her parents & nephew, Carl Redmond. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to The Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Mausoleum, Great Falls, MT.
