- Ruby is the daughter of Mariah Van Horn & Theodore Barnum.
. History of Berrien Co., Civil War: Theodore A. Barnum, discharged at end of service, August 22, 1864.
. Ruby married 1898 Nov 24 to John Adam Miller,1874-1914, (their child Donald G Miller) & then Ruby Barnum Miller marred2, on 1919 Aug 31 to Frank Osborne, b. 1871, Michigan, age 48.
. 1927 Nov 18 - The Twelve Corners Literary club met with Mrs Ruby Osborn on Britain road yesterday afternoon, & after a business session, made garments for the receiving home of Michigan children's Aid society in St. Joseph. Assisted by Mrs Thos. Muldoon, the hostess serves refreshments.
. 1929 Mar 22 - 12 Corners Literary society enjoyed a 2 course birthday dinner. Mrs Ruby Osborn won second awards.
. 1930 Aug 11, Obituary of her mother, Mrs T A Barnum
Coloma. Mrs T A Barnum, 87, a life long resident of Berrien country, died at her home west of Colma, nee the Stanley School Sunday evening at 6 o'clock. Her death is reported to have been due to head injuries & a broken hip sustained 3 weeks ago when she was struck by an automobile while crossing the road near her residence.
Mrs Barnum is survived by 3 dau & one son: Der Spencer Barnum of Lansing; Mrs Thomas Muldoon, at home; Mrs Fran Osborn of Benton harbor, & Mrs Milo Weaver of Gull Lake, 6 grandchildren & a host of other relatives. Her husband passed away several years ago. the deceased has lived nearly 50 years in the same home where she died. She was prominent locally & practically all of her life had been a amber of the methodist Protestant church her. Burial in Coloma cemetery.
. 1930 Oct 31 - Golden wedding anniversary celebration of Mr Mrs J Frank Osborn held this afternoon at their home in Attica, Ind. Those from this city who motored to Attica this morning to participate are son & wife Mr Mrs Earl Osborne & dau of 669 Ogden Ave. Mrs Mrs J Frank Osborn have visited in this city many times & are quite well known here.
. 1934 Aug 21 - Obituary: Last rites for the late Mrs John Osborn, who died Saturday night, were conducted this afternoon at the Millar Lucker home. Burial Crystal Springs Cemetery.
