  A submission to Rootsweb says that he was born in Long Point, Norfolk County, Ontario. The Aylmer Cemetery book says, "White marble on cement base, clasped hands, floral motif: "meet Me": A.D. BURDICK/ 1819 - 1879/ Hannah L./ His Wife/ 1821 - 1912/ - / Oh sacred grave what precious dust/ Is here committed to thy trust/ But oh! the soul has fled on high/ To bloom forever in the sky/ Psalms 23: IV/". He appears on the Index to the 1871 Census of Ontario as aged 52, born in Ont., living in Elgin East District, Malahide sub-district.
