    • Mortimer Callaghan also known as Murtmer/Murth/Murty/Murtagh.
      Several land record documents record it as 'Murtagh' and as this is the original Irish form,

      With a number of small children to raise, the widowed Murt badly needed a woman in the house.
      His second wife was already a widow when he married her.

      He purchased 50 acres of land at the W Half Con 5 Lot 36 on Dec 14, 1856 - land which was later deeded to his son Denis under the terms of his will, on 09 Jul 1884.
      Murt died of Dropsy (swelling, affecting the heart)
