    • Obituary
Nancy Kay (Baar) Jones, born in Grand Rapids, MI lost her battle with kidney & heart disease on April 27, 2013. She passed away at her home in Cosby, TN while in the care of her long-time friends, Arlene & Gene Rosemeyer.

The second child of 3 to the late Edward & Catherine (Davis) Baar, Nancy chose to remain close to her family & moved to Florida in 1970 where she lived for nearly 3 decades. She worked for many years as a registered nurse & enjoyed nearly all kinds of crafts. Known for her talent at knitting & crocheting, many of her works will pass down through generations of families. She was also an ardent fan of genealogy, & with the help of her daughter, recently discovered a very distant relationship to the author Laura Ingalls Wilder.

She was the widow of George H. Jones of Gary, IN. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Karen L. (Jones) & Moghis Syed of Orlando, FL, her youngest sister & brother-in-law, Norma J. (Baar) & Charles Butcher Sr. of Bradenton, FL, & her oldest sister Susan Baar of Taunton, MA.
There will be no formal services held & at her request, Ms. Jones will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to either the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Fund in her honor. - - -
