  Obituary. 1802 Dec 3 - did on wed the 1st instant in the 37th year of his age, Thomas Parr Wharton. a vigorous & highly cultivated understanding, united to a just & benevolent disposition, rendered the deceased peculiarly agreeable & dear to his fiends & family. A series of misfortunes taught him the uncertainty of all human pursuits & attachments as the means of happiness & a tedious, painful illness became in the hands of a kind Providence, the means of conveying to I'm the knowledge of his Redeemer in whose mercy alone he place his hopes of acceptance beyond the gave, his last words were,"I died in peace" Ref: published in the Daily Advertiser.
