• Notes

  born Saffron-Walden, Essex, England sailed on the ship "Talbot," which left England in March 1630 and after three months at sea landed at Charlestown (North Boston, MA) 2 July 1630. Also on this ship was Anna Pettit who was probably daughter of Henri Pettit; and John Pettit born about 1608 in England; may be related to Thomas Pettit. Others say that, "with brother John", Thomas Pettit signed the Donegan Charter in 1688 [should be 1686] whereby the city of New York was passed by the Dutch to Britain with Thomas Don(e)gan, Earl of Limerick, the Governor of New York State from 1684-1688 1637 moved to Exeter NH [1]
