    • In 1875, the Rathbun Lumber Company established alarge sawmill in Campbellford, Ontario.
      Many people from Tyendinaga jumped at the chance for steady wages and possible promotion.
      Denis Callaghan, as well as several of his brothers and Callaghan cousins was among those who picked up and moved to a new life in Campbellford.
      Denis was a Lumber Foreman/Superintendent at the mill, as well as a farmer.
      Denis and Eliza had no children.
