Notes - William is the son of Sally Crawford & Robert Crawford.
William Crawford’s older brother, Hiram Crawford, had originally settled in Beamsville where he married Nancy Comfort, 25 Jul 1820. Both had originally come from Orange County, New York. Sometime after 1825 Henry & Nancy Comfort Crawford moved to London Ontario and purchased land in Westminster. In 1836 William Crawford settled in Goderich and married Margaret Willson.

Enumerator could get no account of what the number of the acres were under cultivation account on this and Mr. Abrams neighborouring farm. Appeared away twice.
Note1: Could William Crawford & Mr. Abrams been one of the persons whose
“Crops last summer was much in grieved by a severe hailstones literally those having oats before they were reaped. Signed, Robt. James Jr., Enumerator.” ?

Note: This implies William Crawford was off doing something else, some where outside of Scarborough. This is confirmed again in the separate Agricultural Census, when the Enumerator Robert James was unable TWO MORE times to get information from Wm. Crawford and his adjoining neighbor, Mr. Abram (perhaps working /travelling together?)
This also indicates that it was likely Margaret Crawford to supplies the responses to the enumerator. - - -
