      . Aletha Hastings of Tacoma, passed away at the age of 99 on December 29, 2011. Born in Monrovia, California, to Tom & Maude Patterson. Aletha was raised on a dairy farm in Centralia, WA. She graduated from Tacoma General Hospital as an RN in 1935. Aletha was a gifted homemaker, enjoyed the outdoors, & later in life was a world traveler. Preceding Aletha in death was her husband Ira, daughter Joanne, & sister Eva Forsberg.
      Survivors are sister Wilma Matz, son Tom & Beryl Hastings, Grandson Mike Hastings, Granddaughters Lisa Hastings & Christine Larson. Service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd, Lakewood WA.
