    1. [S1656] History of Milly Brown, letter of research done by Marion S. McCormick, Tribal Research for the Lower Muscogee Creek Tribe notarized in Grady Co GA, History of Milly Brown.
In the 1832 Muscogee Creek Indian Census, Milly Brown appears as a full blood Creek Indian. She was the mother of Absalom Brown, who was born in 1797 in the Indian Territory, or what is now Georgia. Absalom Brown had three wives. His first wife, Elizabeth Clark, also a Creek Indian, was the mother of Elizabeth Brown who was born in 1830 in Decatur County, GA. Absalom's will is found in Decatur County, GA but is no longer in good enough condition to be read or copied. Other known children to this union are: Mary, born in 1828; Thomas, born in 1832; William, born in 1835; Margaret, born 1842; John born in 1844; Catherine, born in 1846; and Y.P., born in 1847. Absalom also had younger children than this set.
Elizabeth Brown was not a half-breed, but was, in fact, a full blood Creek Indian. Elizabeth married Andrew Ham Moore, who was also a full blood Creek Indian. To this union was born: Green Berry Moore, Henery Moore, Addie Moore, and Charlie Moore. Green Berry Moore married Birdie Lena Singletary. To this union were born: Carl Franklin Moore, Ruby Iris Moore Houston, Florene Elizabeth Moore Mathis, Ella Green Moore Scott Crooms Hainsworth, Birdie Mae Moore Forehand, Green Benjamin Moore, Suber Alvin Moore, Velma Edith Moore Freeman and Hazel Ellen Moore Cannon; these children all being half Creek Indian. The letter goes on to say a little bit more, but nothing to do with any other names.
