      Retired Railway Conductor Dies, Gustave G Reinhardt Succumbs in Linwood
      GGR, 76 year old retired NY Central passenger conductor, died suddenly Sat. night at his home 637 Oakwood beach, Linwood.
      Mr. Reinhardt, who came to Salzburg from Berlin, Germany, where he was born Nov 23, 1874, when he was eight years old., died an hour after returning from Veterans' Hospital, Saginaw. He had undergone an eye operation several days ago.
      A resident of Bay Co. for 68 years, Mr. Reinhardt retired as a New York Central passenger conductor in Jul 1943 after 45 years' service.
      He had a distinguished service record in the Order of Railway conductors & was a member of Div. 306 since 1906. He was chosen chief conductor of Div 306 in 1931 & served until the merger of Div. 306 & 182 in 1942. He was also general chairman in 1935 but resigned because of failing sight.
      Mr. R. served in Cuba during the Spanish-American War and was a member of H W Lawron camp t 1, USWV. He joined the NY Central in Dec 1898, was promoted to freight conductor in 1905 & became a passenger conductor in Mar 4, 1923.
      Mr. R. was a member of Elf Khurafeh Shrine, Wenona Lodge 256, F & A.M. Bay City Consistory and Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem No. 4.

      Survivors include his window, the former Ada Felker, who he married her Oct 24, 190, and a son Lyle G Reinhardt of Long Beach, Calif.

      Funeral services will be Tues. at 2 pm at the Vallender and Penzien funeral chapel. Der. Red A Roblee will officiate & burial will be in a Oak Ridge cemetery under the auspices of Wenona lodge and US Spanish War Veterans.
