1944 Jul 13th - McCutcheon CLAN HOLDS 7TH ANNUAL REUNION -
the 7th annual gathering of the McCutcheon clan met at the home of Melvin McCutcheon, Lot 2 , Erin & Eramosa Townline.
Baseball & horseshoes were the sports of the early time & the following is a list of winners of various races & contests:
Girls 6 years & under: Margaret McMillan, Judith Barbour;
girls 7 to 9, Joy Smith
boys 10-12, Jack McCutcheon, Kenneth Graham;
girls 13-16, Frances Watson, Marion Aitken;
boys 13-16, Evan Watson, Mervin Aitken;
girls 16 & over, Lois Graham, Eleanor Watson.
Cont. races, T G Aiken & Blanche McDougall, Fred Baptie & Helen Aitken; shoe scramble, Merle McCutcheon; time race, Mrs. Robert S McCutcheon, kicking slipper, Mrs. T G Aitken.
Guest coming longest distance were Mr. & Mrs T G Aitken, Lakeelet, Ontario, 65 miles.

After lunch, the president D T McDougall, called the gathering to order. Minutes of the last reunion were read & confirmed, 2 minutes silence was observed for 2 of the number who passed on during the year, namely, Hugh McCutcheon, Acton, & Peter W Currie, Caledon. Included in this connection also was a son of Clarence McCutcheon, B. C., who has been reported missing in war zones. [d. 1944, buried France.]
