- Peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville.
Dear husband of Georgina Downey and the late Elizabeth (nee Cox). Loving father of Edith Reed and her husband Roger Waldren. Cherished grandfather of Taylor and Gillian.
Sadly missed by sister Audrey Wallace and brother Howie and his wife Freda. Predeceased by sister Carol Watts and brother-in-law Jack Wallace.
Ted made the best of his circumstances. He had a remarkable ability to find his way around Dunnville and Hamilton despite less than 10% vision. He had an obsession with bowling, and won many awards, even in sighted leagues. Ted was also an avid euchre and cribbage player.
A memorial service will take place at Grace United Church, 301 Broad St. E., Dunnville on Saturday, October 18th at 1:30 p.m.
If desired, donations to the Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation would be graciously accepted.
