    • Obituary:
      Ray H. Lind, a life-long farmer in the Bruce community north of Cavalier, died Saturday at his home in the city.
      Mr. Lind, son of Mr. & Mrs. George Lind, was born in the Bruce community July 8, 1898, he lived & operated a farm there until the time of his death. The Linds moved to Cavalier in 1947.

      He married Bernice Louden in Grand Forks in 1931.
      Survivors are his wife;
      one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Beverly) Gjertson, St. Paul;
      one brother, Harry, Napa, California & one grandson, Paul.

      Lind served as treasurer of the Bruce school district for 29 years, & was a member of the Methodist church.

      Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Cavalier Methodist church. The Rev. Richard Teichmann officiated & burial was in the Bruce cemetery. Arrangements were by the Jensen Funeral Home in Cavalier. Honorary pallbearers were C.R. Morrison, Charles Renwick, Egill Hillman, Ed Jaster, Russell Horseley & Thomas Horsley. Active pallbearers were Alfred Latozke, Esau Renwick, Carter McConnell, Duane Morrison, Alex Wisenthal, & Mearl Schluchter.
