      Obituary
      Funeral services were held on Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Philip's church for Alex Cameron, 85, who passed away on Friday after an extended illness. Burial was made in Greenwood cemetery.
      Mr. Cameron was one of the early settlers in Bemidji having helped organize the schools and in the laying of the early railroad lines to Bemidji.
      Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Harriet Cameron of Mission, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Jack falls of Mission, Texas; Mrs. Virginia Foran of Los Angeles, Mrs. Archie Bowers of Bemidji and Mrs. Roy Quaintance of Aitkin, one son, Alex of Los Angeles and eight grandchildren.
      The McKee funeral home had charge of the funeral and arrangements. (Northland Times, Feb 6, 1942)
