NOTE 2./ Hawkinsville Dispatch Thursday December 18th, 1890 Died, at the residence of her daughter F.W. Mashburn, in Dooly County, Georgia on the 10th day of December 1890, Mrs. Athaliah Lock, widow of the late James Lock, aged 77 years. She leaves one son and two daughters, one brother, sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren to mourn her loss. She was born in Pitt County, North Carolina, March 19th, 1813 and moved to Georgia with her father when quite young. At the age of 16 years she was married to the late James Lock of Dooly County, but at the time of their marriage they
were living in Laurens County. Her husband died in 1857 and she remained a widow the balance of her life.

Athelia Adams Lock is the daughter of Levin Adams and Winifred Edwards Adams. Athelia had three brothers Summer Adams, John Q Adams, and Peter Adams. She also had two sisters Martha Ann Adams Hogsett and Elizabeth Adams Montford.
