      The petition of the undersigned, Daniel Whitesell of the Twp. of Malahide in the London District & Province of Canada, Farmer - son of the late Andrew Whitesell & Enrolled U. E. Loyalist,
      Humbly showeth. That your Petitioner was located by the Honourable Colonel Talbot, soon after the commencement of the Talbot Settlement, upon a Lot of 200 acres of Land being Lot 87 South on Talbot Road East, in the said Township of Malahide under the expectation of receiving a firm grant from the Crown for the same as being the son of an Enrolled U. E. Loyalist.
      That your petitioner appeared before the Quarter Sessions & obtained the usual Certificate previously to the first of January 1843. That your Petitioner was not aware that the Statute 4th & 5th Victoria, Chapter 100, could affect or to enjoy with such his acknowledged right to 200 acres of land, & humbly begs leave to suggest that his is no New Claim to Land formed upon any negotiation or order of the Provincial government but rather as your petitioner was always led to believe, & fondly trust that he may still be provided the same sentiments connected with such belief to his children, along with the original Free Grant from the Crown for his Farm & Old Claim a record granted the Loyalist & their children by the late Majesty George the Third of pious memory, for their loyal attachments losses, privations & sufferings in support in the unity of the United Empire of Great Britain during the American Rebellion deprivations to which your humble petitioner's inability to write his name.

      Daniel was a farmer on Lot, Conc. 6, Malahide. 1 Maly Daniel Whitesell's WILL
      First - I give & bequeath unto my daughters viz Eliza, Sarah & Lydia and my son James each the sum of $1., they having heretofore received their portion of my estate.

      Second I give devise and bequeath unto my son in law Asa B. Bradley, my friends John Bradley & Daniel Roy their heirs and assigns in trust all my real & personal estate in trust to sell the same to the best advantage…..& out of the proceeds pay to my grandson George Sherman Bradley son of my son-in-law Asa Bradley &
      to my granddaughter Minnie Whitesell daughter of my son Daniel Whitesell each the sum of $25.
      The remainder equally between my grandsons Andrew Whitesell & Lewis Whitesell children of my son James Whitesell share & share alike & to whom I bequeath the same & to their respective heirs.
