  Clarence A. Clayton, of 510 Admiral St., Woodstock, died at Woodstock General Hospital on Monday. He was born in Harrington, a son of the late Albert and Caroline Clayton. He was employed with Maple Dairies in Woodstock for 29 years, starting in 1929, and then with the Oxford County board of education for eight years prior to retiring in 1971. He was a member of Central United Church where he was active in the companion club and was a life member of King Solomon's Masonic Lodge, No. 43, A.F. and A.M. He is survived by his wife the former Sara G. (Swayzie), son Frank of Toronto, daughter Marjorie Horvath of Victoria, B.C., grandchildren Jim, Michelle and David Clayton and Emil and Lynn Horvath. He was the last surviving member of his own family. Friends will be received at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 134 Riddell St., Woodstock, Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., where the funeral and committal services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Donald Moore of Central United Church officiating. Burial will be at Hillview Cemetery. Contributions to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the rehab unit of Woodstock General Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
